Dr. Gregory Chinn was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington and then attended the University of Southern California where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005. After dental school, Dr. Chinn and his wife Regina moved back to Seattle. He has been practicing dentistry in Washington for over 15 years. Dr. Chinn has donated his time over the years to the Medical Teams International Mobile Dental Clinic and participates in the annual Seattle/King County Clinic, providing free dental service to underserved populations in the region. The rest of Dr. Chinn’s time is spent with his family, mainly his two active and energetic kids–his son Anderson and daughter Peyton. He enjoys traveling, reading, following Seattle’s local sports teams, and pretty much anything his children want him to do!
Dr. Hockins – As a dentist, I have the opportunity to change the life of each person who comes to me for care. I get to make people feel more confident by improving their smiles, and I offer useful education so people learn how to keep that smile healthy and strong. I come from a family of tradesmen, enjoy working with my hands, and pay extra attention to the finer details. Dentistry is a science and an art form, as well as a way to connect with and serve others. It is a natural fit for who I am: my interests, skills, and passions. Having a practice in Tacoma enables me to meet and get to know a diverse group of people. I enjoy learning about the experiences and interests of other people, hearing about their lives and goals, and sharing who I am. Each conversation gives me greater insight into how I can best help that individual, while also broadening my understanding of our community. I am honored when someone allows me to care for their smile. I take that responsibility seriously, and always consider what is in the person’s best interests – now and for the future. I hold a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado, where I graduated with honors. Dental school gave me a solid foundational understanding of oral health concerns, as well as proven approaches to addressing issues. However, dentistry is a constantly advancing field: ongoing research leads to a greater understanding of dental concerns and how best to treat problems. The development of new techniques, improved materials, and revolutionary technologies means more options to deliver better service, quality, and efficiency. It is my responsibility to stay at the forefront of new options, and to evaluate each and incorporate the best into the practice. Each year I seek out numerous continuing education (CE) opportunities in order to provide patients with ideal treatment for each person’s specific needs. In addition to keeping current on general dentistry topics, much of my CE has focused on full mouth rehabilitation, Invisalign® clear aligner therapy, and dental implants. I have been awarded the Invisalign® Gold Provider designation, based on the courses I’ve completed, as well as the successful cases I’ve treated. In addition, I am designated as a Hiossen® Implant research consultant after placing over one thousand successful implants. I grew up in Prince George, British Columbia Canada and moved to Seattle after completing dental school in Denver to be closer to family; particularly my grandparents who are in their 90s. If I’m not seeing patients or studying the latest dental research, there’s a good chance I’m enjoying the outdoors. I love boating, biking, hiking, and skiing. At home I spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
I feel blessed to be given the opportunity to influence patients’ lives in a very positive way. I take great pride in being able to relieve patients of discomfort and years of neglect and truly give them a smile they are proud of. Helping people is my passion, and I am honored to be able to do so every single day. – Danny Chiang, DMD Dr. Danny Chiang is a professional in comprehensive restorative dentistry. He began his professional journey at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, where he received a degree in biology and pre-medical sciences. His experiences in college helped him to gravitate to the dental field. He attended the prestigious Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his doctorate in dentistry. He went on to complete an advanced education in dentistry through a residency program at Wichita State University, where he was able to further advance his clinical skills and solidify his devotion to dentistry. Dr. Chiang had been practicing in a high-profile cosmetic practice in Boston, but his family roots in New Hampshire drew him closer to home. He joined a group of practitioners at Urgent Dental Care of New Hampshire in Manchester, NH and gained exceptional knowledge in the surgical aspects of dentistry. The combination of his talents and gentle, amicable demeanor make for an ideal clinician. Wanting to branch out and see other parts of the country, Dr. Chiang decided to embrace an opportunity in the great state of Washington. He now lives with his wife, Lisa in Federal Way, WA and practices in Tacoma, WA. In order to enhance his knowledge in many aspects of dentistry, Dr. Chiang continues his education through seminars with both local and national dental societies and has completed over 600 hours of continuing education. It is his goal to always provide the best and most up-to-date care for his patients. Dr. Chiang enjoys working out, travelling, and relaxing at home. He is a movie buff and loves to watch all varieties of film. His additional hobbies include technology, computers, and cars. Dr. Chiang looks forward to meeting new patients and welcomes anyone looking for emergency or routine dental care to come experience Comfort Dental in East Tacoma.
Dr. Probst completed his DDS at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry after completing his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University. After graduating dental school in 2006, he joined Comfort Dental in Colorado. In 2011, he and his cousin Scott, who is also a dentist, brought the Comfort Dental franchise to Washington State and has been practicing here ever since. Dr. Probst excels in and enjoys practicing all areas of dentistry and enjoys working with his patients to determine the best approach to their dental health. At age 19, Dr. Probst served a two-year mission for his church in Brazil, where he learned to speak Portuguese. He has been married to his beautiful wife for more than 20 years and the family includes five children. When he has free time at his home base in Snoqualmie, Dr. Probst enjoys family time, hunting, fly fishing, hiking, and golfing.
